Northstar Lacrosse

Players from all over the metro are welcome to try out for NorthStar Lacrosse

The NorthStar Lacrosse program is open to students attending any Omaha area school without an existing lacrosse program and to any students who are currently enrolled in or who have interacted with NorthStar programming in the past.

Our season takes place from February through May, and we have two teams:

High School Lacrosse

The high school team is comprised of 9th-12th grade boys and competes in the Nebraska High School Lacrosse Association against schools and clubs.

Eligibility

Students attending any Omaha area high school without an existing lacrosse program, as well as any students who are currently enrolled in or have interacted with NorthStar programming in the past, are eligible to try out for NorthStar Lacrosse.

Games

Home games will be played on the newly renovated Fritz Field at NorthStar. All U14 games are on Sundays, with an average of 12-14 games per season.

Tryouts

Held annually in February, tryouts take place over two days outside of school hours at NorthStar.

Practices

All practices take place at Fritz Field from February through May. Our standard practice schedules include 2-3 practices per week, including Saturday practices leading up to season openers.

Conditioning

NorthStar Lacrosse coaches provide opportunities for students to learn and improve their game before even trying out. Conditioning dates are held in the months of January and February.

Travel

The team takes at least one road trip per season, giving players the opportunity to compete against teams in places outside of our regular season venues.

Facilities & Equipment

Home games will be played on the newly renovated Fritz Field at NorthStar.

Lacrosse can be an expensive sport, but we don’t want that to be an obstacle for young men interested in playing!

Equipment is loaned to players free of charge

All necessary equipment is loaned to players. Helmets, sticks, uniforms, pads, and cleats are all provided free of cost during the season.

Currently Enrolled at NorthStar?

If you are already enrolled in NorthStar’s after-school program, lacrosse participation is covered in your registration packet.

Not Enrolled at NorthStar?

For any player not enrolled at NorthStar, lacrosse participation fees are based on a sliding fee scale. Contact us to learn more.
